Consciously Social and Nostika Magazine announce the first annual BATTLE In The Mix, an event that will stimulate all the senses as we incorporate cutting edge creative expression through the fusion of music, live performance, dance and digital art.
What is BATTLE In The Mix?
BATTLE In The Mix is a competition among some of San Diego's most talented and recognized names in night life. This cutting edge DJ Battle and remix competition challenges the top DJ's from San Diego to perform before a panel of celebrity judges and San Diego's prime market of entertainment connoisseurs. This year's winner will receive cash and product prizes, an exclusive profile in one of San Diego's most widely read entertainment magazines, and an opportunity to feature their remixed track on an upcoming Miz Mandy album.

Background
The concept for BATTLE In The Mix transpired from a need in the community to fuse efforts of local talent into a single event that encourages DJ's to explore their own creativity and push their original style to the limits. BATTLE not only brings exposure to the cutting edge musical art form that has captivated urban culture, but also features a performance by Billboard recording artist Miz Mandy, while infusing the message of global awareness.
The Charitable Side
Staying consistent with our mission to cultivate a more philanthropic and culturally aware community, we are taking measures to incorporate a creative call to action. This year our collaborating organization advocates for the welfare of children globally in such critical areas as education, health and social justice. The goal of Invisible Children, Inc. is to holistically provide quality education and opportunities to the people of Northern Uganda, while empowering youth in America to use their voice for action. By inspiring the youth in America to use their creativity for change and become personally involved, Invisible Children is creating lifelong activists.
