In March, Miz Mandy's first dance single, 'In the Mix,' remixed by DJ Scotty K. (Christina Aguilera), broke onto the Billboard Breakout Charts, at #2 and #5. Two weeks later, "In The Mix" debuted at #43 on The Dance Club Play Charts, climbed to #40, and this week, hit # 37.

According to Andrew Briskin, OIA Newswire, "This first single off of her [Miz Mandy's] new album holds nothing back."

Album Reviewer Nuevo Revolution said, "Both versions of 'In The Mix' (Extended Spanish Version & Scotty K Radio Mix) are amazing tracks that show off talent of music, lyrics, as well as Miz Mandy's vocals."

Released in January, Miz Mandy describes her second album as "pop-based urban dance." Internationally recognized, one song on the album, "Shake, Shake, Shake" held the #2 spot for 2 weeks on the Brazilian dance charts and has been played regularly on popular Brazilian radio stations including Band FM, Goven Pan, and Atlantida. In addition, the popular track, "I'm Only Sleeping," has been receiving airplay on XM satellite radio since early 2006.

Nuevo Revolution said, "'Diamond in the Rough' really shows off Mandy's talent with her vocal capability. 'In the Mix' is one of those CD's that takes pop music and praises it."

Album Reviewer Loosey Lucy said, "The reprise of 'Yours' is a gorgeous rendition with acoustic guitar and achingly, longing vocals. 'No Borders' is an infectious, Madonna-influenced pop/dance track, and the heartfelt 'Confessions' features rapper, Mally. Miz Mandy even rocks it out on the rock/pop-laced, 'Drive.' The twelve-song album contains two mixes of her title track, 'In the Mix,' ...are impressively remixed by DJ Scotty K."

Miz Mandy has also been a successful live performer. She has showcased in over 16 countries from NATO shows near Brussels, Belgium to Fourth of July celebrations for the US Ambassador in Maputo, Mozambique. "Playing for 65,000 people in China was the best," she said.

Recently, she performed at some of southern California's best venues including the Belly-Up, 4th and B, and Cafˇ Sevilla. She's also done TV performances on music shows KUSI and LATV's En Concierto. "My act can expand or collapse depending on the venue and the show," Miz Mandy said. "My favorite is when I perform with my eight-piece band and my entourage of vocalists and dancers."

Miz Mandy sheds new light on the phrase "triple threat." She is an accomplished singer, dancer, and songwriter. Patrick Pickslay, "In The Mix" album producer and co-writer, said, "Miz Mandy is very involved with the process of recording," Together, Pickslay and Miz Mandy create an international sound with underlying Latin percussion, overlying Spanish guitars, and European dance sounds.

"Pat is a master at string arrangements, Miz Mandy said. "We work together so well... he's so talented, creative and open- minded. Musically, we are on the same wavelength. Learning how to produce and engineer was exciting - a lot of trial and error. I've had such great people around me to help me learn and grow. We're creating a unique sound by borrowing elements from all types of music."

This summer Miz Mandy can be seen performing for two charitable projects, Jeans for Justice and Battle In The Mix. Both events were created by Consciously Social and support the San Diego Center for Community Solutions. Jeans for Justice, scheduled for May 5 in Rancho Santa Fe, Ca., is a high-energy fashion show promoting Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Miz Mandy will kick-off the event with a live performance of her #37 Billboard charting track and end the evening with the debut performance of her new song, 'Jeans for Justice'.
